Business Training Center


Women Empowerment Organization in partnership with IZDIHAR established a Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in Erbil; which it has held 33 trainings since December 2006, about "How to Start-up or Improve a Business", “Training of Trainers”, “Proposal Writing” and “IT Training of Trainers”. T his is an ongoing project and WEO is still conducting business trainings in the coming months.  All of the mentioned training courses are available through Erbil SBDC, and they are intense. Homework related to starting and operating a small business is given; critiques, analysis and discussion are the training’s strong points.

 

 Supplementary assignments, researches, survey and pretest & posttest are also ingredients of the each course.  Practical tests are given with immediate available results, which encourage improvements, growth and changes.  In addition, trainer comments, consultations, and recommendations are provided to strengthen business plans, loans applications and overall business direction, roles of the trainers, the way of writing proposals and successful IT trainers. From the first training (Dec. 2006) until now (March 2008) 33 different trainings has been conducted successfully. Moreover the number of those training participants is (311) so far, (128) women took benefits from these trainings.
Since the January 2008, WEO has continued to receive groups from the south and middle of Iraq (Nassryah, Falluja and Tkrit) to offer them all sorts of training. So far, WEO provided trainings for Nassryah 4th group, two groups from Salahaddin (Tkrit) province, and a group from Falluja.
