(The goals and the career)
Mrs. Bayan Saleh Gabrail came a long way ... she is from Kurdistan, since the very beginning of her youth life she wanted to achieve her goals where she could fulfill her obsession to see women on an equal footing with men ... why not? ... Isn’t god created them as equals? Why this discrimination in favor of males? ... She has tried very hard to achieve her goals through youth seminars with her friends in the Faculty of Agriculture, where she used to study, in order to raise her friend’s awareness in this regard, as her ideas resonated amongst them. Despite the difficulties in reaching her goals but she didn’t gave up and found her journey tasteful because she could cross those difficulties to achieve her dream.
After the uprising in 1990 Bayan was involved in Independent women Union in Kurdistan. Then she began with writing articles in the equality Journal. Eventually, the condition in the country has forced her to leave Iraq towards Turkey for seeking safety. Afterward, in turkey she found her goal through working with the UN Committee to defend women's rights. She has devoted her efforts to defend the rights of refugee women. Then she left Turkey and went to Denmark, but she did not gave up her dream to help women to attain their rights, so she chose to work with women's organizations in Denmark, which aims to defend women’s rights. She made efforts to provide aid to migrant women to enable them to merge with the Danish society.
Since 2003 Bayan was also involved in managing civilized dialogue, which was a part of the Center for civilized dialogue programmer, in which she won the Ibn Rushd Thought award for Freedom. In 2004, she became as an active member at the center for Women's Equality, which was created on 8th of March of the same year by a group of activists who believed in equality principles. Subsequently, went to study Computer Technology field, which is still occupied mainly by men. Even in Western countries she is trying to integrate this technology with her efforts to achieve equality through training women and the use of this technique to serve the cause of equality...
Bayan saleh’s path In achieving her wishes were not strewn with flowers but she has suffered a lot because of the Kurdish customs, traditions and society's negative perception of gender equality. Here she returns to serve Kurdish women and even in general Iraqi women through her management of the hotline project, which provides services and assistance to the largest possible segment of battered women. Despite the difficulty of obtaining funds from the Scandinavian countries but she has made an exceptional effort to come back and seek humanitarian organizations for helping woman to receive the appropriate service. This fruit has been a produced out of the seeds of many efforts that is made by Bayan’s long career path and who does not want it to end only by achieving equality.
(The dream came true)
Lava Salar is an ambitious Kurdish lady; she studied the Faculty of Arts, English language section in the university. Although she is still young but her achievements are great. She began her career since 2004 - 2008 as a teacher of computer and English language. At the same time in 2006 she was writing as a journalist in the Hawler Glob journal. Other people opinion about lava’s work was that she is very serious at what she is doing. Under certain circumstances she had to leave the country and go to Sweden. She took the opportunity on her hand and helped emigrant to find a suitable job, through her work in one of the organizations in that area. Then she felt homesick and decided to return homeland as always she searched for a job commensurate with her capabilities so she worked at AHG German Construction as director of the Office. Although she had a good job but she always felt that something is missing. Therefore, she resigned working as a director of the relations in the ITA in the Kurdistan Regional Government. This was a turning point in Lavas life; she made a decision to stop working with others, because she felt that she should have her own business (should I have my own work which I love). Lava wanted to bring back her dreams of years and years ago when she was 15 years old. She wanted to become a hairdresser and have her own beauty salon, but her father opposed the idea and told her that she must complete her studies. However, after she got married she asked her husband and her mother’s permission, about opening a beauty salon. They have agreed to support her desire by providing her with material and moral assistance to turn the dream of the fifteen-year-old girl into reality. Now, Lava actually have her own beauty saloon, but without her husband and mother’s help she was not able to achive her dream. To turn the saloon into a source of beauty and to please her customers, she thought of creating a calm environment in the saloon so she has chosen (white and black) color for the saloon. Her ideas are inspired by the study of psychology at the university. Lava’s saloon is called ENVY (I like to be like you) all of which look beautiful and attract customers into her saloon.
“Her happiness is renewing every day” ... this is how Lava feels when she gets up every morning to move towards her beauty salon ... dream has been achieved, but has not been easy. However, the most beautiful of which is that the old little dream has survived and grew inside Lava. Also, nice reality spreads beauty inside lava, and over every face and hair of who enters her saloon.
