Youth Initiative Program
We at Women Empowerment Organization are implicating partner of a project named youth initiative in Erbil. The project is funded by the USAID-TIJARA.
The project's duration is three year and it may get extended for years.
Starting date: 20/6/2011
Ending date: 29/12/2012
The aim of the project is to create new jobs for youth.
The project has two main activities:
• How to Start a Business: This activity will provide a five day training on how someone can create a new business and three day counseling for making a complete business plan then get loan from $1000-$5000.
• Employment skills: this activity will provide a ten day training about learning computer and internet skills, learning basics of English language and writing CV. After that the trainees will get employed in privet sectors and will be paid by us $100 for three month plus their salary from the company.
The conditions of participating in both activates are:

Activity 20/06/2010- 1/8/2010
Five trainings were held for 58 trainees for both male and female on How to Start Business and 8 new project were created.
Activity 2: 1/04/2011 (still ongoing)
Two trainings were held on How to Start Business for 19 trainees in Erbil and Koya District and also 8 new projects were created.
Activity 3: 1/04/2011 (still ongoing)
Three trainings were held on Employment Skills for 39 trainees for both male and female and 13 of them hired in private sectors and the others will be hired soon.
